THE POWER OF WORDS - A REFLECTION SERIES
Welcome to word reflections, a blog series on the power of words. The selected word is HOPE. Personally I will be focusing on HOPE as I journey through the 4 seasons of 2021. I invite you to join me in this word reflection and consider how HOPE might also benefit you in 2021.
Hope is an optimistic state of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes with respect to events and circumstances in one’s life or the world at large.
Scientist Shane J. Lopez, Ph.D is a leading researcher of hope and has found that hopeful people share four core beliefs:
THE HOPE FORMULA
Consists of 3 Variables
Hopeful people are more successful because they are able to develop the strategies to reach goals and have the energy to plan alternate means in the event of possible deterrents.

What are you hoping for?
How do you want to create a better future for yourself, others, and the world?
What can you do to believe in your ability to reach your goals?
How can you let go of tight control and expectations in order to allow yourself to understand that there are many possible pathways to reach your goals?

I want to thank Colleen Benelli for inspiring me to revisit the meaning of HOPE. I also want to thank Robyn Benelli; together they host a Reiki circle (along with many other contributions to the Reiki community), and I have personally benefited greatly from participating in their events. I will be learning animal Reiki training from them in 2021. Here is a link to their website: reikilifestyle.com
This is a blessing and inspiration. Thank you for sharing your precious energy and perspective. Who doesn't need a little (or A LOT) more hope in their lives?!
